Welcome to Twub Quiz
Welcome to the Twub Quiz, the pub quiz taking place on Twitter. This site is where you can register your team and submit the answers to each round. To get the real time feel of a pub quiz, questions are asked on Twitter marked with the hashtag #twubquiz. You can monitor the questions using the gadget on the left. It's designed to update automatically in real time. However, if you find it running slow, you might want to set up TweetDeck with a search column or use Monitter open in a separate window to find the questions. You answer on the forms on this site. All answers come to us in a spreadsheet for each round. We'll try to mark them as quickly as possible and update the scoreboard.
Your team doesn't have to be in one place. You can use a chat service like Skype, Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger to talk to other team members if you're in different places. Pidgin is a good choice of messenger if your team members use different chat systems.
The quiz is on every Tuesday at 8.30pm, London time. The time, date and host of the quiz is listed in the top left corner of this page. Entry is free, all are welcome. Make sure that you've got the drink of your choice by your side and plenty of nibbles, I hope it'll be an entertaining evening.
Rules: Small teams permitted; up to 4 per team. When you register for the quiz please provide a team name and a twitter account name, just so we know who you are. We'll tweet questions in pairs a couple of minutes apart. Because of the way Twitter works, you may get them in a different order so take note of the question numbers when answering. At the end of a round we'll try to post the complete set of questions in case any get lost. When all questions have been submitted I'll mark them, show you the answers and point you to the scoreboard. Direct questions or problems to this week's host, shown in the top left corner of this page, and use the hashtag #twubquiz. The quiz master's ruling is final, even if it's wrong. Extended arguing after a ruling may result in penalty points being deducted.
